In 2006 a pilot unit was successfully constructed and operated in China (see photo) in collaboration with a local university. In 2007, AORA was spun out of its parent company with the goal of erecting its first operational commercial unit in the Arava Valley in southern Israel. Following the completion of our first commercial unit and its connection to the national grid in early 2009, AORA plans on expanding the Arava facility into larger scale power generating plants (5MW and more).
By late 2009, AORA plans on setting up our first international installations in strategic markets that will enable future growth and expansion into utility scale projects.
Seeking strategic partners?
In order to grow internationally, AORA seeks to collaborate with key players in order to set up mutual joint ventures in different countries around the world. These JV's will plan and construct solar power generation facitlies geared on selling power to the local grid.
Possible candidates for such joint ventures, include key industry players with a credible track record in the following fields:
Understanding the local energy market and the mechanics of brokering long term Power Purchase Agreements.
Experience in large scale engineering projects and the ability to scale up local production capabilities.
Access to local project financing resources.
If you are able to address the above criteria, feel free to contact us directly with a cover letter.
